Roast Mozzarella with bacon

This might be a perfect option  if there are no children in your reunion, because this snack’s flavor will stand out if you accompany it with some red wine. To prepare it, you will need 250 g of mozzarella cheese, 50 g of sliced bacon, a little spoon of olive oil, a little spoon of dry basil, a bit of salt and black pepper.

This snack is one of the simplest to prepare, and due to its versatility, it can be served either cool or warm. This means you can make it previously your guests’ arrival and have it ready, making easier your role as host and taking care of other  tasks. First of all, we need to warm the oil on the pan at low fire, while we cut the cheese in half centimeter  thick slices. Once the oil is hot, we will fill the whole surface of the pan  with the slices of mozzarella cheese.

Leave this layer of cheese on the pan at low fire for 10 minutes. When the cheese starts melting, flavor it  with salt, pepper and basil. Then, put the bacon slices over the cheese on the pan. You will know it is ready when the borders of the cheese layer are crispy and slightly burnt.

When you serve it (whether it is cool or warm), divide it into slices, cutting from the center, as a pizza.
