Buen Provecho! CDMX will celebrate the restaurants in Mexico City, gathering diners of all kinds to share culinary experiences at a more accessible price. The first Restaurant Week in Mexico City will be held from November 17 to 24, 2018.
What is Buen Provecho! CDMX?
Buen Provecho! CDMX is a one-week event that showcases Mexico City as the first-class culinary destination that it really is. It will highlight the diversity of experiences that the city offers. Diners will be able to enjoy special menus for lunch and dinner, with a discount of no less than 20%, in over 50 restaurants.
In New York they call it “Restaurant Week”, in Los Angeles it’s “Dine LA” and in CDMX we say “Buen Provecho!”. The main objective is to encourage local diners to try out restaurants that they do not know and attract tourists with a gastronomic interest. It is meant to bring CDMX restaurants into the international market and show CDMX as one of the most attractive gastronomic destinations in the world.
Buen Provecho! is an initiative of restaurateurs for restaurateurs. It is not for profit because 100% of what is earned with sponsorships will be used for promotion. In addition to the restaurants mentioned below, the Fondo Mixto de Promoción Turística de la Ciudad de México (“Tourism Promotion Council of Mexico”), the Fondo Mixto de Promoción Turística de la Ciudad de México (“Mixed Fund for Tourism Promotion of Mexico City”) and CANIRAC have already joined this initiative.
