Rosemary is one of my favorite scented herbs, it gives everything a touch so aromatic and tasty, it is almost impossible that something is not succulent with rosemary. A clear example is this Aromatic and Delicious Rosemary Turkey, which is also prepared very easily. Surely you will enjoy it as much as we do.
INGREDIENTS for Aromatic and Delicious Rosemary Turkey
- 1 turkey, 5 kg
- 3 cups dry white wine
- 4 tablespoons mustard
- 15 rosemary sprigs
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
The night before cooking, marinate the turkey by rubbing all the external and internal parts of the turkey with mustard. Place rosemary sprigs outside and inside the cavity of the turkey and on the sides. Add salt and pepper and bathe with wine. Cover very well and leave at least three hours in that mixture or preferably overnight.
To cook it, preheat oven at 150ºC and cook at that temperature for two hours. When checking, bathe with it’s own juices, cover very well and keep cooking. Remember that one hour of baking is required for each kilo of turkey weight. Uncover and let brown 30 minutes before it is done cooking. Remove from oven and let cool so it does not dry. Bathe once more in its own juices and serve. Accompany with mashed potatoes and salad of your choice.
